Bunzl Lockhart Catering Equipment (BLCE) recently secured the contract to provide all light equipment for the new Ascot Racecourse.
Sodexho, the racecourse's appointed contract caterer, selected the company for the exclusive provision of all light equipment to all public and private bars and restaurants.
The supply of all disposable catering supplies and cleaning equipment is also provided by Bunzl Catering Supplies (BCS).
Ascot will be providing a wide range of tailored hospitality packages designed to suit all tastes and budgets and once BLCE was awarded the contract, all equipment had to be in place for the launch of Royal Ascot 2006.
For Royal Ascot week, BCS supplied 192,000 disposable pint tumblers, 199,000 disposable half pint tumblers and 144,000 disposable champagne flutes. They will also supply Ascot Racecourse branded items, such as pizza boxes, noodle boxes, meal trays, bags and cocktail stirrers, for all meetings throughout the year.
Elsewhere, BLCE has also secured contracts for the exclusive provision of light equipment at the new Emirates and Wembley Stadiums in London.
