Stagecraft Theatre Services (STS) has recently completed the design and installation of a new lighting system at the Link Centre ice rink based in Swindon.

Home to the Swindon Wildcats ice hockey team, the Link Centre is one of Swindon’s premier leisure venues.

STS was responsible for the design, installation and project management of the new system, which includes both static and moving lights.

Three separate truss structures were created for the main grid, which were hung above the rink along with a hazer to create atmosphere.

STS installed a total of 102 lights, including 90 Par 64 par cans and 12 Martin Mac 500’s. Also supplied were two Zero88 2410 Chilli Pro dimmers, a Zero88 Leap Frog lighting desk and touch screen and a Jem 24/7 Hazer.

Custom gobos are currently being designed for the rink to project images during matches played by the Wildcats.
