Crewroom to kit out UK 2013 Oxford Cambridge Boat Race

Technical sports outfitter Crewroom will be supplying the Oxford and Cambridge mens rowing crews on 31 March.

Crewroom will also supply kit to the Newton Women’s Boat Race, Henley-on-Thames on 24 March 2013.

As official technical kit supplier, Crewroom and JL Racing will provide both the Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Clubs with branded technical kit, including the Crewroom Vapour-X cap made of sustainable performance fabric. The light-weight cap has a long peak designed to protect the eyes, with the underside of the peak being dark to reduce light reflection. Other technical features include reflective piping intended to improve visibility, contrast mesh panels and an adjustable strap.

Spartan

In addition, Crewroom will be supplying 100,000 finishers’ race shirts to the obstacle racing series, Spartan Race.

Crewroom is supplying Spartan events in Britain and Canada and more than 60 Spartan Races will be held across America, Europe and Australia in 2013.

Seven Spartan events are planned for the UK this year. Designed for all ages and participants the races test competitors’ physical stamina and mental toughness with military-style courses.

Obstacles include 15-foot rope climbs, slippery ramp scaling, spear-throwing, carrying sandbags up steep hills, barbed-wire mud crawls and ice-pit plunges.
