Vinopolis creates interactive wine experience with Arcstream AV

Arcstream AV has completed an immersive and educational experience to transform visitor attraction and events venue Vinopolis in London.

The AV installation takes visitors through the grapes, regions and tastes of wines across the world in its vaulted railway arches.

Touchtables, touchscreens and projectors were installed alongside a PufferSphere XL, with a range of educational, interactive content designed by Arcstream to personalise the user experience.

Three 42inch digital signage screens were installed in the reception area along with four Samsung SUR40 for Microsoft Surface tables split into four screens, to enable simultaneous multi-use in the two main tasting zones.

The interactive content takes visitors through a taste experience while they try to create their ideal wine in one of the two education zones called the Winery.

The Winery zones are reached via a fully-equipped Theatre which offers access to either of the chosen zones for red or white wine tasting. Interactive pods have been created with two 65” NEC Displaylite six point full HD multi-touch screens, which visitors can step into and learn about different growing and production.

Arcstream installed 18 x 22” Ilyama Dual Touchscreens alongside wine serve technologists Enomatic who installed the attached electronic wine dispensers in various tasting locations throughout the venue.

The Arcstream team also worked with design consultancy MadeThought to create an ethereal and aspirational area, sponsored by British Sparkling Wine producers Nyetimber.

Arcstream AV installed two projectors which project onto an atmospheric voile backdrop with scenes of the Great British countryside where the wine is produced.

In the Geography Zone a Puffersphere XL dominates this double height space, visitors can learn about the geography of wine on this 360° projection globe.

As well as installing the AV hardware Arcstream created the bespoke content for the interactive games. The software programs allow visitors to learn about wine through choosing options based on individual flavour preferences so the knowledge they gain is suited to their tastes.
