Contract win for Beacon at Buckinghamshire country club’s new hotel

Beacon has been selected to manage the design and purchasing for a new hotel being built at a Buckinghamshire golf and country club.

The company says it has already compiled a comprehensive product specification for the 30-bedroom hotel at the Magnolia Park club, and will now act as the hotel’s purchasing partner.

Beacon’s remit from Magnolia Park includes the purchasing of fixtures, furnishings and fittings for the facility including beds, curtains, lighting and carpets, and the company is managing both the hotel’s budget and the quality of procured items. The company will initially create a bespoke sample room, so that any amendments can be made at an early stage in the project.

The new facility is scheduled to open later in 2014.

Beacon has also announced the appointment of two new account managers, Huma Khan and Wilson Bryson. Khan previously worked for a variety of FMCG companies, while Bryson has worked in food service for 20 years, including 12 years at Unilever, and will be responsible for procurement across a number of categories.
