Technogym’s social challenge ‘Let’s Move for a Better World, which first began in 2014, enabling people to do good for themselves and make a difference for others, is back!

Technogym has long been proposing physical activity as a means of prevention and cure for the health of the population. The answer to a sedentary life is an active life, a wellness life.

The driving force behind the wellness philosophy is certainly physical exercise, but not only physical exercise.

The social campaign leverages Technogym’s technology and connected ecosystem to motivate people to move more and more regularly and to join their local fitness facilities (clubs, hotels, workplaces, universities and more) and share their results with the global Technogym community.

From 12th to 27th March 2024, thousands of people from around the world will join forces to “donate” their exercise and promote the Wellness lifestyle through a challenge based on MOVEs (Technogym’s unit of measure for movement). Movement Is the foundation of an active life, people should aim for 1000 MOVEs/day to be healthy.

In facilities, users can join Let’s Move for a Better World connecting to the Technogym Ecosystem, tracking their workouts, and collecting MOVEs. Upon reaching predefined targets, each facility can win Technogym products to donate to a non-profit association or educational institutions of its choice. The more active gym-members are, the more MOVEs they collect and the bigger the donation will be to each community.

In 2023, Glasgow Club Tollcross finished in first position on the UK leaderboard, with 2million MOVEs, out of 230 participating UK facilities, engaging more than 450 Glasgow Club members who came together to donate their MOVEs to win Technogym equipment for Active Glasgow East Community Sports Hub, a programme through sport Scotland’s ‘Club and Communities’ strand, the Community Sport Hub (CSH) that aims to bring sport, physical activity and local partners together supported by investment received from The National Lottery to improve access to local activity provision.

Glasgow Club Tollcross (and 14 other Glasgow Club facilities) will be joined again this year by over 230 facilities in the UK alone, including previous leaderboard toppers and long serving participants Crow Wood Leisure, amongst other businesses from all sectors throughout the UK, such as CPASE and Cadbury House and several Universities from London South Bank to Glasgow, to name just a few.

Alongside its important social message, Technogym's global campaign represents a very powerful tool for facilities to become ambassadors of the Wellness Lifestyle and give a concrete contribution to their local community. Among the promotional activities during previous editions of the Let’s Move for a Better World campaign, facilities engaged their communities through special events, competitions, and classes to boost loyalty, motivation, and attendance with thousands of people sharing their results and Inspiring others through the social media hashtag: #letsmoveforabetterworld

Technogym has been investing for years in building its Technogym Ecosystem with the objective of growing the industry, making it more attractive to end users. The Let’s Move for a Better World Campaign is a concrete example of how to combine a unique consumer activation with a marketing campaign for a facility and a community social activation. The Technogym Ecosystem includes connected equipment, apps and on-demand video training content and can connect individual users to their own personalised training experience for fitness, sport or health anytime and anywhere.

Let's Move for a Better World is the result of Technogym's forty-year commitment to promoting wellness around the world. The campaign represents an opportunity to create a more sustainable society, based on personal health, and the education of younger generations is a fundamental starting point for the achievement of the common goal.
