CU-CO, a new soft play system developed by Rays Concept Development, had its worldwide launch at Leisure Industry Week.

Modular and inflatable, CU-CO enables children to build their own soft play structures and - in addition to the fun factor - aims to address four key goals in a child's development.

Says creator Raymond van Ophoven: "Children need to develop an understanding of their environment and work on their personal skills.

"This applies not only to their physical and gross motor development, but to their social skills, such as team playing; their technical skills, such as spatial understanding; and the stimulation of their creative expression.

"Building their own structures challenges children to think in 3D space. They have to work together, and they can crawl and climb freely."

Since the system is modular, customers can start with a very small play area and let it grow over time.

The modules are available in any colour so an area can be themed if required; a number of ideas can be downloaded from the www.cu-co.com website.
