Sports Operations Manager (Facilities)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to join the University of Liverpool’s sports service, Sport Liverpool. As Facility Operations Manager you will provide excellent leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of operational staff. You will be an excellent leader, commercially astute and able to encourage your team to deliver exceptional customer service and target driven results to ensure Sport Liverpool makes a positive, measurable impact across the University community and beyond. You will be accountable for operational management and business performance.

As a dynamic and determined individual with proven entrepreneurial flair, you will be able to develop and implement new initiatives to encourage greater use of the facilities encouraging students, staff and members of the surrounding communities into a healthier lifestyle. This is an extremely varied role that offers an excellent opportunity to work in a busy, vibrant sports environment. It is a practical leadership role, so you will need to be outgoing and ready to get involved in every aspect of running the University sport and fitness facilities.

You will need to be a confident communicator with exceptional organisational skills to enable you to prioritise conflicting demands and deliver to challenging targets. You will be resilient with the drive and determination to succeed. You should have a degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience) and a proven and successful track record of management experience within the sport, health and fitness sector.
