International architecture design firm Populous have released conceptual images of its Gaming House of the Future, a multilevel recreational hub for professional esports gamers.

Designed to be both a customised home away from home and a training facility, the new two-tower complex is a kind of incubation venue for talent and features a wealth of amenities intended to both sharpen and increase players' video game skills and wellbeing.

In the design schematic, gamers are able to refresh their minds and bodies at the site’s dormitory, gym, physiotherapy room, skate park, climbing wall, gardens, and swimming pool.

Additionally, they have access to 'Refuelling and Healing Stations', areas which provide nutritionist-recommended meals.

Members of the public are also able to watch esports competitions in the building's street-level amphitheatre, as well as in a smaller chamber dubbed the "Cube".

Speaking on the importance of the House of the Future, Chris Lee, managing director EMEA for Populous said: "The esports industry is booming but its stars, the elite gamers, are not benefitting from the range and quality of training facilities their counterparts in mainstream sports have come to take for granted.

"We are excited to draw on our experience in creating world-class sports and events venues to design facilities like the Gaming House of the Future, which will help focus minds on the physical and mental wellbeing of esports athletes and provide environments that support the continued growth of professional gaming."
