Astons Health Studio becomes one of the first gyms to offer eGym SmartStart tech on Precor equipment

eGym's SmartStart offers individualised training with intuitive and progressive personalised workouts.
Astons Health Studio in Chichester has become one of the first gyms in the country to offer eGym SmartStart technology on its Precor CV consoles.

The exclusive health club, which is housed inside a 300-year old flint barn, boasts nine eGym strength machines as well as a number of Precor CV machines with integrated SmartStart tech.

Designed to give users a 'fully interactive and connected workout', eGym's SmartStart offers 'individualised training with intuitive and progressive personalised workouts.' It enables users to set goals and track their performance as well as their 'cardio age', which is established during a step-by-step physical test during induction. The software then uses this information to prescribe training programmes across all connected machines based on the members' selected training goals.

Members are actively encouraged to work out on the Precor and eGym equipment at least twice a week so they are able to view their progress and boost their motivation.

In addition, workouts and results are tracked and synced automatically with both the open-cloud eGyme ONE platform and the eGym app so both members and trainers can view their journeys.

Jo Perkins, gym manager at Astons, said: "Installing eGym software on our Precor equipment was important to us as we want to provide members with the ability to complete effective cardio training and save time in the gym."

"Members are tested every 28 days to ensure they are benefitting from the optimal cardio programme to suit their current fitness level and physical ability. eGym SmartStart enables them to experience personalised cardio training programmes, align workouts to their training goals, monitor training sessions and track results easily," she added.
