Sikkens has Baroosh Bars covered

The first UK application of Sikkens' new Alphacryl interior finish has seen the product used in the refurbishment of a number of Baroosh Bars throughout the south-east of the UK.

Following initial discussions with owners McMullen Brewery and Contractors, Rubbol AZ and Rubbol AZ Express high gloss opaque products and Rubbol Satura, a matt opaque finish, were applied, which is reported to have significantly improved the exterior finish.

Alphacryl Mat is a premium quality acrylic finish which is non-burnishing and scrub-resistant. As with the rest of the Alpha range, it offers low odour and low solvent content, with faster drying times.

For the Baroosh bars, this meant the branches were able to remain open while the work was taking place, rather than having to vent the windows to provide a suitable working and customer-friendly environment.

Alphacryl Mat is available in white and a selection of colours from the 4041 Colour Collection, a major advantage with the Baroosh interiors which are renowned for their creative use of colour schemes.

Andy Brown of Sikkens commented: “The product is ideal for the interior of clubs, pubs and bars where a high level of wear or frequent cleaning is required. With our experience in redecorating exterior surfaces, with the Rubbol AZ and Rubbol SB products used on the first two Baroosh bars, we are able to offer a solution to the interior décor as well.”

Plans are in place to use Alphacryl Mat on other branches, to provide a uniformity of design throughout the chain.
