New range from Ballet Barre

The Ballet Barre Company - which has been manufacturing Wall Mounted Ballet Barres for over 15 years - has announced the introduction of a new range of Freestanding Ballet Barres, together with the launch of a new Direct Sales Service for the UK, rest of Europe and overseas.

Explaining, managing director John Simpson says that having been manufacturing 'behind the scenes' in the past, the company will now deal direct with the private dance schools, studios, rehearsal rooms, performing arts centres, schools and professional dance companies which have been using their products for years.

The new range of Freestanding Ballet Barres includes the Rehearsal Barre, a folding, lightweight, adjustable barre that will go low enough for children and high enough for adults; the Studio Barre, which has a lower height adjustable barre and is ideal for the novice dancer; and the Prestige Barre, with a sleek design and tough enough to endure the rigours of any dancer's warmup routine.

Also available from the company are single and double wall mounted barres, which come with the option of being either fixed or adjustable, and a range of specialist dance floors, vinyl and sprung.

All the floors can be used for ballet, modern and jazz but for tap or flamenco only Adagio and Arabesque are really suitable. For touring companies, Dance Floor and Cabriole are recommended.

The floors are constructed with a variety of surface treatments to provide slip and wear resistance. They are available in black and grey, but colours and prices vary from floor to floor.

Studio mirrors can also be supplied and the company has recently introduced a Home Studio Kit. The latter comprises a mirror, wall mounted or freestanding barre and a sprung dance floor panel with a choice of surface layer.
