ICI Imagedata has added the Olmec™ OP610 Photo Factory to its range of D2T2™ digital photo printers.

Ideal for static or mobile event photography or incorporated into ride photographic systems, the compact new unit is rugged enough for high volume, professional use and provides the convenience and speed of D2T2 print production.

It is roll-fed and provides a range of formats from 5 x 3.5in to 6 x 9in, producing high quality full bleed images trimmed and ready to use. 300dpi print head resolution includes reproduction of text as part of the image.

Like the company's OP600 Printer, images are produced in around 12 seconds per print, although the OP610's image quality benefits from improved paper handling, thermal head design and thermal compensation.

Specially designed 240 micron paper gives the look and feel of a traditional photo print and a new Windows 2000/XP driver incorporates features such as 'multicut' which allows different print sizes to be created without changing the paper or the ribbon.

A new 'Superior Quality' printing option can be selected at a slightly lower printing speed.
