Demand rises for Greenstock lamps

Demand rises for Greenstock lamps

Despite the current economic downturn, Greenstock has reported an increase in demand for the company's range of long life incandescent lamps.

Mostly attributed to a Government scheme to replace conventional incandescent lamps with low energy fluorescent alternatives by 2010, Greenstock explained that this has led to buyers stockpiling the remaining supplies of traditional bulbs.

The Greenstock collection is claimed to last up to 16 times longer than traditional bulbs, and provide a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative.

It is claimed that the long life of the bulbs is because of the use of high-grade non-sag tungsten with multiple supports to protect the filament of the lamp in addition to chemical compounds inside the bulb to eliminate impurities, which can cause filament failure.
