bio-synergy says that the best way to sort out a hangover is to drink 500ml of Pure Energy before bed and 500ml again first thing in the morning.
Too much alcohol causes hangovers, headaches, thirst, nausea, vomiting, and heartburn, symptoms due partly to dehydration and a swelling of the blood vessels in the head.
Dehydration causes cardiovascular stress, increases core body temperature and impairs performance. From a practical point of view, urine tends to be dark-coloured, which shows that body fluids should be replaced.
The main aim of bio-synergy's Pure Energy isotonic fluid replacement drink is to replace fluid faster than water. It contains electrolytes - mineral salts that dissolve in the body's fluid and which include sodium, chloride, potassium. These help to regulate the fluid balance between different body compartments and the volume of fluid in the bloodstream.
A further benefit is that the extra sugars in the drink will help to maintain blood sugar levels and spare glycogen.
Pure Energy is available in both Sunburst Orange and Lemon & Lime flavours.
