Skywalker and BOER in strategic partnership

Skywalker Adventure Builders and BOER Playgrounds, both based in The Netherlands, have announced what they refer to as a mutual strategic co-operation.

Skywalker develops up-market concepts for outdoor activity sites and manufactures eco forest climbing parks, high ropes courses, adventure towers, outdoor playgrounds and adventure parks.

BOER, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, specialises in equipment and layouts for public playgrounds and leisure facilities. It manufactures a wide range of sport and playground equipment, including seats, stands and planting, as well as customised equipment for theme and adventure parks.

Explaining the rationale behind the move, Skywalker managing director Ewout Van Voorst said: "For both companies, this represents a significant step forward in our aim to increase our market share in Europe.

"What is more, the close cooperation of our two companies will benefit our customers when it comes to individual pricing and range of services."

Skywalker already has a proven track record in Germany, whilst BOER predominately operates in the Netherlands and Belgium at the moment.
