Entry is now open for the 4th annual Members’ Choice Health Club Awards in partnership with Health Club Management.

Since their inception in 2011, the awards have captured the imagination of both clubs and members, with winning establishments selected purely on ratings from their clients.

The competition is open to all private health clubs and leisure centres in the UK, with 1,000,000 members expected to cast their votes this year.

The awards measure the quality of customer service, facilities and value for money provided by clubs and centres, asking customers to make their choices in an anonymous online survey.

Simon Brown, who owns and runs the awards scheme, says the benefits extend far beyond a simple accolade.

“When a club signs up to the Health Club Awards it sends a very clear message to new and existing customers. It proves they are committed to providing the best member experience they possibly can and are prepared to prove it," he says.

"Members are invited to complete a questionnaire and they can leave feedback on any aspect of the club they wish. This ensures club staff can see their strengths and weaknesses, enabling them to improve facilities and services accordingly.”

As well as recognising clubs regionally and nationally, the competition will highlight the efforts of individual staff members in the People Awards category.

Shortlisted clubs and staff are unveiled in July and winners are announced at a prestigious Health Club Awards dinner on 30 September 2014 at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, on the first night of Leisure Industry Week (LIW).

Gold, silver and bronze winners will be announced for 14 regions, while Grand Prix titles for the best Budget, Mid-Market and Premium clubs in the UK are also up for grabs.

Entry to the competition is open until 1 April, with voting closing on 30 May.
