Skin Authority has launched a new app which aims to extend personalised care outside the walls of the spa.

‘My Skin Authority’ is an interactive lifestyle app that connects people 24/7 with a live, skin professional via phone, live chat, video chat, e-mail, or a scheduled call back. The app also features a ‘Beauty Workout Zone’ educational blog and several videos from Skin Authority CEO Celeste Hilling covering important skin care concerns such as “Practicing Safe Sun” and “Balancing Oily Skin”.

The app can generate product suggestions on the spot, enabling either spa staff to assist customers in making purchases, or giving guests direct guidance in retail areas. My Skin Authority can be integrated with the spa workflow to facilitate product recommendation and purchase after treatment.

It also enables revenue share from purchases made away from the spa by tagging guests with the spa as part of their permanent record in Skin Authority’s database.

“The beauty of My Skin Authority is that we reach out on behalf of the spa partner. No other brand has the technology and staffing to do this,” said Hilling. “Skin Authority does the work and the spa team receives the benefits of repeat customers, increased retail sales and happy therapists.
