New from IDscan is Cloakscan, said to be the world's first biometric cloakroom ticket system.
Created by the makers of the Clubscan ID scanning device, Cloakscan registers a fingerprint as customers leave their personal belongings and
simultaneously records a video still of the transaction.
It then recognises the print when the customer returns and provides an image of the original transaction.
Developed to eradicate the loss of cloakroom tickets, Cloakscan’s software is also claimed to prevent cloakroom bottlenecks at hotels, event venues, museums, restaurants, clubs and bars.
Additionally, it can produce reports and graphics and allows variable pricing structures to recognise different items. A further feature is the system's ability to read and store promotional codes to offer privileges and discounts for marketing purposes.
Cloakscan can be purchased as a software product for £999.00 or rented as a fully supported package with all hardware, full training, free upgrades and installation from £17.50 per week.
