Sales growth means move for Sports Coatings

Significant growth in sales of its specialist sports surfacing systems has meant a move to new premises for Suffolk-based Sports Coatings.

The introduction of new products and an increase in export business have seen the company move from its old works in Newmarket to a more modern facility in Haverhill.

The 25,000 sq ft premises - more efficient and allowing scope for future expansion - will house production of the complete range of Sports Coatings indoor and outdoor sports surfacing products.

These include acrylic and polyurethane coatings for use on the surfaces of outdoor tennis courts, basketball, hockey and five-a-side football pitches. The company's cushion flooring systems for indoor sports halls, line marking paints and seals for wood sports floors will also be produced in Haverhill.

Sports Coatings is a sister company to Everlac, manufacturers of industrial and decorative exterior paints and coatings and who will also be housed in the new Haverhill plant.
