Marg Mayne will stand down as CEO of Mytime Active next year, after more than seven years in the role.

Mayne joined Mytime Active as chief executive in August 2014 and, during her stint, developed a strong vision for the charitable leisure trust.

This included switching the trust's focus to the wellbeing of local communities where Mytime works, encompassing a range of health and community programmes.

Mayne will officially hand over the reins on 31 March 2022.

“I've thoroughly enjoyed my seven years leading our social enterprise," Mayne said.

"The job has been enormously satisfying and I'm as passionate as ever about our wellbeing mission.

"However, the time is right for me personally to pursue new opportunities and ambitions in the next stage of my career.

"Having steered the business through the pandemic, and having confidence that the next six months will see us consolidate our recovery, it is also the right time for someone new to take the lead as CEO to take Mytime into the next era.”

Mark Oakley, Mytime chair, said: “Marg has been an excellent chief executive and should be rightly proud of what Mytime Active has achieved under her leadership.

"We're sorry to see her go. Together with my board, we are planning a smooth transition over the coming six months, allowing for the recruitment of and handover to Marg’s successor.

"Until that time, it is very much business as usual, as we consolidate our strong recovery to date, and continue to rebuild for the future.”

Originally trained as a chartered accountant, Mayne's early career was as a finance professional, later finance director, for two leading housing associations during a decade of rapid growth in that sector.

She joined Mytime after a wide-ranging career across housing, culture and international development.
