Sports facilities tender with Bankside Open Spaces Trust
Tender for license to occupy outstanding sports facilities in central London
11 - 25 Union St, London SE1 1SD

Bankside Open Spaces Trust is an award-winning environmental and volunteering charity developing, managing and maintaining over 20 open spaces in central London.

The Marlborough Sports Garden is our flagship sports facility close to London Bridge and Borough Market, recently refurbished with a £650,000 upgrade and providing a unique resource for local businesses and residents. Floodlit facilities include a 3G football pitch, competition standard netball court, and the only sand-court in central London for beach volleyball and other beach-based sports.

An incredible opportunity has arisen for the winning organisation to have exclusive use of these outstanding facilities at peak operating times.

Income generated from licencing of these facilities will support the charity to further develop the space and provide sports activities for local young people.

We will be discussing the optimum level of involvement with shortlisted operators as part of the procurement process including hours of operation and other services that could be included in the final tender. We are proposing a three-year contract to commence on Monday 22nd March 2021. Partial bids (i.e by facility) will be considered if we’re able to get the right combination of operators.

If you are interested in this opportunity, our Prequalifying Questionnaire (PQQ) document is available here.

For more information, please email Jack Harrison: [email protected]

Deadline for submission of PQQ is: 28th September 2020.
